The Dorotha C. White Foundation's goal is to help patients journey back home, or provide the highest quality of life possible for patients if they must remain in a facility, using restorative care as the model. We provide information, counseling, advice, and resources to families and consumers in need of assistance concerning senior care issues.

You can help the Foundation by:

  • Learning more about the rights of the elderly, including denial of Medicare entitlements by skilled nursing facilities.
  • Taking action by supporting the full use of the 100 day Medicare benefit, upheld in 1986 in the landmark federal case of Fox v. Bowen and Transmittal 262 .
  • Contacting your legislators to bring attention to the plight of the elderly in America.
We will help you stay informed on the progress we're making and provide you with the tools to make your voice heard. You will find ways to learn more get involved and advocate for changes in legislation that will help ensure productive lives in nursing homes. You can make a difference!
